Tycon Oversight Ltd is led by Andy Cummins — around thirty years in construction management, now working owner-side in Barbados.

“I’ve spent around 30 years in construction — as a subcontractor and on the main contractor side, pricing jobs and running sites. I’ve written the quotations, I’ve stood on the scaffold, and I’ve had the awkward conversations at the end of a job when the money and the work don’t line up.

I now live in Barbados. I kept meeting the same person: an owner who had wired a large sum of money to an island they couldn’t see, trusting a set of photographs on WhatsApp, with nobody independent looking at anything. Some of them were fine. Some of them were not, and by the time they found out, the money was gone and the work was covered up.

So I started doing the obvious thing: standing on their site for them, on a date, with a camera and thirty years of knowing what to look at.”
