In Barbados contractors are not required to be registered, so there is no official list to look anyone up on.
No way to verify progress
A photo of a wall on WhatsApp does not tell you whose wall, or when.
Distance
An owner on the island catches a problem in week one; an overseas owner finds out in month six.
